Rioja

Rioja is a province in the middle north of Spain, sometimes called „the Tuscany of Spain“, which is obviously to be taken as a compliment. Wine from Rioja is very famous, but as tasty as its wine, as beautiful is its vineyard-covered landscape, which is surprisingly rich in variety. There are mediterranean forests, alpine mountain ranges and even desert-like areas, reminding of moonscapes. And all these beautiful contrasts united on a small space of only 5.045 km². Even dinosaur footprints are to be found in Rioja. So, all in all, there is definitely a lot to discover in Rioja, which also means: Lots of opportunities for photography and painting!
